Holden Friesel is a Vermont-born composer, conductor, and trumpet player. He began composing small band and orchestral works in high school, with the goal of bridging the architecture of concert music with the harmonic and rhythmic language of film score. He has composed a variety of works for orchestra, band, solo instruments, and chamber ensembles, and has conducted those works in concert halls across Europe, such as the historic Slovak Radio Hall in Bratislava. He is currently studying composition and music education at the Crane School of Music in Potsdam, New York.
